Making Memories: Globetrotting with GP

As I was sitting on an airplane headed back from New York this past Saturday, my father and my son were sitting in Philips Arena watching the Harlem Globetrotters. While I so wanted to be there, I remember when my Dad took ME to go watch Curly and the crew make another team look silly, I was tickled that they had this moment together.

My Dad, "GP," with my cousin, Max, and Miles.

You know Miles talked my Dad into buying him a basketball. He hasn't put it down since.

It always warms my heart when I see my kids enjoy experiences that I did as a child - especially when it involves my parents. How about you? What do you do with your kids (or nieces and nephews) that you used to do, too? Don't tell me I'm the only sap out there ...

Winks & Smiles,

Disclaimer: I was provided four tickets for my family to attend the show. As always, my thoughts and opinions are all my own.

Great post, I always take my cousins/neices to the cinema or theatre, or they just chill with me at my house, one of my sisters loves to bake, and they cook cakes, and cookies, all things we did as kids with our mum and aunts, it's nice to give back, my cousins say they can't wait to do activties with my kids when/if I have any, we'll see, if my children are arnything like me as a child they are going to be a handful....

Summer camps, family reunions, road trips, and ice-capades, I'm trying to give each child this experience...it's work out so far!

Yup you're the only sap! Ha! Just kidding!

I don't have any kids but pretty much all of my friends do. Recently I went on vaca to visit my bff & her kids and we went swimming. I spent most of the time trying to teach them how to climb on my shoulders and shoot into the deep end, and the other learning how to swim. This is how I spent my summers as a kid also with my mom and her friends ♥
